As we come to the close of another year, many thoughts cross and stay in our minds. Certainly the New Year will bring prayers and hope for a better time for all. ERRI has been so blessed with the many volunteers who have helped us to grow over the years. We continue to try to build a rescue, rehab, and now, retirement organization through the tireless efforts of our volunteers.

In the last month we have lost one of our special supporters. Sadly, Donna Hungerford lost her three year battle with cancer. She was a joy to know and an inspiration to everyone who knew her. We have many, many fond memories of Donna and are grateful to her for touching our lives. We are thankful that we were able to share her last ride on one of our rescue mares that she helped rehabilitate. At Donna's request, a memorial fund has been set up in her name for ERRI. We have received many generous donations in her memory. Her dedication to ERRI has helped us to become the rescue we are today, as such, we plan to honor Donna with a lasting memorial in her name. We were surely blessed to have had the privilege of knowing Donna. Our prayers and thanks are extended to her wonderful family.

On another note, the Benefit Dressage Schooling Show fundraiser at Sagamore Farm that was put together by the dedication of another terrific volunteer was such a wonderful day for ERRI. A heartfelt thanks to Tracey Hurline, Jim Armstrong, and Patsy & Jim Ward for their generosity. Through their efforts we raised $1100 and everyone had a great time.

Our annual fundraising dance was another success even though your truly was under the weather and missed it. We had an awesome 50 silent auction items donated, and the auction raised about $1650. Everyone had a ball.

In the same spirit, the Losey family ran a raffle for an all-ready-to-heat Thanksgiving Dinner, which also helped to raise funds for us this quarter. As a side benefit, the winner of the dinner was anonymous, so the dinner was donated to a needy, local family for the Thanksgiving holiday. Our thanks to the Losey family for their great support.

Our wishes for all of you, everywhere, are for a more peaceful year. We pray everyone in America and the rest of the world will find life renewed with faith and hope. God bless.

Thanks,
Debbie
