Now that summer is almost here, we are making BIG plans for our second annual jousting fundraiser which the Amateur Jousting Club of Maryland, Inc. has been so gracious as to put on for us again. We are even having some board members do adult leadline classes. Of course, the more experienced members will be riding the arches in full style!

We are planning volunteer work days on July 14 and 15 at 1 p.m. each day. We will fix up the farm - paint, repair fences, fix jumps - make everything beautiful for our busy summer season. It will be a wild day! Please join us for the fun!

We are also introducing a new aspect of ERRI. It will add another "R" in our acronym for retirement. This will be a special program only for ERRI's existing adopted horses whose elder-care needs we need to plan for. We never know when an adoptive family can no longer care for their older ERRI horse and will need to return him or her to us. We are hoping to sponsor farms that would be willing to take them on.

With 62 horses in ERRI, we are always trying to focus on the whole scope of our program. We will need funds, farms, and fundraisers as this program develops. Please call with any ideas that can help us with this budding project or any of our existing programs you feel can be improved.

Don't forget! Please help us with our work days and come to the Joust - sponsor a rider and have some fun in the meanwhile.

Thanks,
Debbie
