By Debbie Frank, President ERRI

On February 25, 2001, we had our annual ERRI Awards Night dinner. As usual, it was lots of fun. In a very small way, we thanked our 34 board members, plus the many other regular volunteers who make our organization possible. Without every one of these special people - people who all have special talents to offer - 65 horses and ponies would not have had a new life through ERRI. Our certificates of appreciation are a very small token of our thanks.

Our next big project will the the Jousting Tournament and Festival on July 22, 2001. We will not only make this a fundraiser, but hope to have educational displays and demonstrations as well this year. There will be more informaiton in our next newsletter about this exciting event!

Finally, we are still trying to find foster farms or "retirement homes" for our older ERRI horses. There are many horses out there who need our help as they come to the end of the "working" portion of their lives. There are also some ERRI horses reaching the ripe age for whom we need to plan. If you know anyone who might be interested, please give us a call.

Think Spring,
Debbie
