ERRI’s Gallery of Homeless Heroes

ERRI has several horses and ponies who are ready to be sponsored or adopted.

ERRI’s goal is to match compatible horses and people to make a lifetime pair.

Homes must be within a 150-mile radius of Parkton, Maryland. ERRI recommends prospective sponsors/adoptive owners visit the farm to learn more about us prior to committing.

April - is a 21-year-old, Shetland cross pony. She is 12.1 hands. She has a history of moderate respiratory problems that require daily therapy. She has been shown leadline. She also drives and can be ridden under saddle with care. She requires an experienced handler who can administer daily medication and monitor her health. She is currently at an ERRI foster farm receiving care. She is available for adoption - $400.

Blazer - is a 25-year-old, Arabian gelding. He is 15.3 hands. He has been a trail horse, but requires an experienced rider. He loves attention and being groomed. He is available for sponsorship but must stay on the property.

Bold Meridian – a.k.a. Bo, is a 9-year-old, dark bay, Thoroughbred gelding. He is 16.1 hands. Bo is a nice mover and is very sweet. He should make a nice pleasure or trail horse. His racing career ended due to a leg injury, and he should not be jumped in excess. He is for an advanced rider only, as he is green off the track. Available for adoption - $2000.

Ciera - is an 8-year-old, Arabian/Warmblood cross, dark bay mare. She is 14.2 hands. She is green under saddle and over fences. She needs an intermediate-level training rider with patience and confidence. She is available for adoption - $2,500.

Foster - is a 9-year-old, Palomino/Paint pony gelding. He is very hot under saddle and over fences. He requires an experienced and settled rider. He is available for sponsorship only and must stay on the property.

Itch - is a 31-year-old, Arab/cross, white gelding. He is 13.2 hands. He is spunky but healthy and retired and would make a wonderful companion pony for someone experienced with caring for elderly horses. He is wonderful with kids and loves attention. Available for adoption - $400.

Pumpkin - is a 21-year-old palomino Quarter horse mare. She is 14.3 hands. Once pony clubbed and evented, she is an easy keeper, but has difficult heat cycles and bucks while being mounted. She hasn’t been regularly ridden for 6 years and would best used for light trail riding. Good ground manners and beautiful! Experienced rider only. Adoption fee - $800

Rockaroid - is a 7-year-old, Chestnut, Thoroughbred gelding off the track. He recently returned to ERRI. He is doing well under saddle and has shown well. He has a very sweet disposition. Available for adoption - $1,000

Sandaar - is a 32-year-old liver chestnut Arab gelding. He is great with children and inexperienced riders with supervision. He needs sponsorship to help with his daily medication costs. He is partially sponsored and cannot leave ERRI’s farm. Available for additional sponsorships.

Sevenbellsfrombama - is an 8-year-old bay, Thoroughbred gelding off the track. His racing career ended several years ago due to bone chips in his knee. He is a nice riding prospect after additional rehabilitation and training. He is available for adoption - TBA.

Sponsored

Dancer - is a 17-year-old, Quarter Horse gelding. He is 15.3 hands. He’s a very nice boy with lots of character. Great for light ring work and trail riding. Loves attention, loves children. He is available for sponsorship but must stay on the property.

Embers - is a 24-year-old, Appaloosa mare. She is 15.2 hands. She can be ridden but has not been ridden for years. She probably would not stay sound if ridden regularly as she is in the beginning stages of Navicular Disease. She would be best as a companion horse. She is an easy keeper. She is available for adoption - $400.
