You are here: Newsletters > December 2004 > The President's Stall By Debbie Frank It hardly seems possible that ERRI is 10 years old this year. What a great, but challenging, time it has been. As you will see, we have had over 70 dedicated people serve on our three boards over the years. Our list of special donors and volunteers is fantastic and growing longer with each year. Please see our tribute to these folks on pages 4 & 5. We hope we didn't forget anyone, but if we did, please forgive us, as our memories grow old! We appreciate you even if we failed to add you to the list. As an all-volunteer organization, ERRI has been able to care for 95 horses and, just as important, help educate people about the awesome responsibility of horse ownership and care. Our goal has always been to eventually put ourselves out of business - that is to say, to make our mission unnecessary and see all horses in loving, caring situations. We thank all of those who have worked to make ERRI a successful organization. Without the generous donors, spirited volunteers, and extremely dedicated and tireless board members, our rescue could not function. We hope the next 10 years are as satisfying as the first. Please be sure to visit our booth in the Cow Palace at the Horse World Expo, January 20-23 at the Maryland State Fair Grounds in Timonium. It is always so nice to see our old friends and catch up. Have a Blessed Holiday Season, Debbie |
