Our jousting tournament was the best I think we have ever had. We had our best fundraising effort, but even better, everyone had a really great time. We were lucky to have a beautiful day, and the community really came out to see what it was all about. I send a big thank you to our volunteers, the Amateur Joust Club of Maryland, all the riders, and the visitors for helping to make the day such a success.

Our long-lasting fencing project has finally been finished. Thanks to the grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, our fields are starting to look much better. We still have a lot of old fencing to bring down. Many of the boards are still in good shape, and we have extra posts as well. If you are interested in some nice "used" fencing, please stop buy and buy some.

The manure storage area behind our barn was completed over the summer. It has helped a lot with the water problems we were having. Now, however, our manure spreader has kicked the bucket. If anyone has a working one they would like to donate or knows of an affordable one for sale, please contact us!

We look forward to returning to Shawan Downs on September 25th and have some really great equestrian demonstrations planned. We thank all of the generous business sponsors for helping us raise money and awareness with the demos. We are also selling general parking tickets for the event. Shawan Downs has generously offered us 50% of all ticket money we bring in.

In October, we are looking forward to our 4th Annual Benefit Dressage Schooling Show at the beautiful Sagamore Farm. We'd like to thank Jim and Patsy Ward, Jim Armstrong, and our organizer Tracey Hurline for pulling this event together. It is always such fun.

I want to thank all the people who are responsible for planning and organizing these exciting events, especially our board members who give so much of their time to help make ERRI a success.

See you soon,
Debbie
