ERRI 2004 VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR

ERRI congratulates Advisory Board member Linda Veblen on being voted ERRI's 2004 Volunteer of the Year. Linda used her professional experience as a grant-writer to help ERRI secure the $25,000 matching-funds grant offered by the Chesapeake Bay Small Watershed Program (a division of the NFWF).

The grant was her baby, and with her vision and direction, ERRI has been able to use the money to install new fencing at our homebase Rendezvous Farm that will not only improve the pastureland for our rescues, but will help protect environmental resources that feed off the land as well.

She was instrumental in soliciting bids on behalf of the rescue and getting both manpower and goods donated for the project. Without her direction, unselfish dedication, and bottomless drive this project would not have become a reality!

Linda also fosters several ERRI horses at her Fiddlehead Farm and is a busy mother and wife!

She was presented the award at ERRI's Annual Volunteer Recognition dinner at the An Poitin Stil in Timonium in on March 21st.

On behalf of the ERRI Board of Directors and her ERRI family, we congratulate her!
