October gave ERRI a beautiful day for the 3rd Annual Dressage Benefit Schooling Show at Sagamore Farm. Organized by ERRI Consulting Board member Tracey Hurline, the show raised more than $700 for ERRI's rescues.

Show participants competed in everything from Introductory to Training Level, to Freestyle, to Pas De Deux and the $20 entry fee charged for each class went directly toward helping ERRI's rescues.

Top Maryland Dressage rider James Armstrong donated his judging ability at the show for the 3rd consecutive year, offering riders pointers and giving them confidence about their respective levels of riding.
Several ERRI horses competed again this year, including Night Dream whose performance dramatically improved since last year's show.

"We've been working with Night's rehab a lot more intensely," said rider and ERRI board member Laura W. Baier. "We're hoping that we can continue to build up his hind-end muscles and his stamina for demanding work."

Night placed 3rd in the Intro. Level Walk/Trot I and 2nd in Intro. Level Walk/trot II. Night continues to rehab from an acute meniscus tear in his left hind leg that occurred several years ago.

ERRI thanks the volunteers who came to help with ERRI's display at the show. Special thanks go out to Tracey Hurline for organizing the show, James Armstrong for his time and consideration, and Jim and Patsy Ward for so generously donating the use of Sagamore Farm for the show.
