Money to help ERRI cover costs
and help keep our horses healthy

By Laura W. Baier

The Eva Gude-Brandt Foundation has been a supporter of ERRI for the last 3 years. Every year ERRI receives a very generous check from them right around New Year's Eve.

In year's past, the foundation has awarded ERRI $5,000, but this year, ERRI received $10,000. The money helped replenish ERRI's bank account, which was alarmingly low.

The money will help ERRI cover monthly costs including feeding, farrier work, vet costs, and routine health costs.

On that note, the Thoroughbred Charities of America has given ERRI a year's supply of Ivermectin for 21 horses. This will cover ERRI horses at both our headquarters and our new satellite farm, ERRI Western Run. Ivermectin is a wormer that retails for about $10 per horse per dose.

ERRI has also sent paperwork to the Blue Horse Charities which awards money to rescues that take in Thoroughbreds. They award a certain amount of money for each horse.
